At PostNL, I had the job title of a "Trainee", meaning that I was tasked with providing help and support to mail carriers with their loads, at various lockers, in the city of the Hague, Netherlands. This consisted of two different lockers close to my residency, each comprising of three types of post, varying from letters, to packages, to larger post such as cardboard boxes, etc. As a 'trainee', I was taught skills required for being able to deliver all types of post, and as a result, frequently helped those who had larger amounts of post, especially on the weekends, where the amount of post is larger than on the weekdays. As a result, the work that I was assigned, always was based around the amount of post, that came in from the vans, that delivered the post to the various lockers around the city. This meant that, I was usually more busier on the weekends due to the delivery of a larger amount of post, required. In addition to this, I was taught the logistics of post delivery, such as checking the address, type of post, location of delivery eg. either in a green postbox outside the house, or into the slit of the door, etc. This meant that, I was able to help those with more of those with the heavier post, such as the packages and large post during the weekends and those within the light post e.g. the mail, during the weekdays. As a result, this helped me to understand the logistics of delivery, especially in regards to such as complex system of thousands of mails, packages and large post on a daily basis.
