As a passionate advocate for long-lived family enterprises, I devote my work to advancing research, education, and advising on the intricate interplay between family dynamics and business behavior—ranging from strategic succession planning and governance design to responsible entrepreneurship and finance. My approach is grounded in a unique combination of academic and practical knowledge, developed through extensive collaboration with the leading organizations in the family business field. I am currently Full Professor at EDHEC Business School, Director of the EDHEC Family Business Centre and Family Business Fellow at Cornell University. I hold editorial and board responsibilities, including serving as FFI board member and Entrepreneurship Research Journal editor. A global speaker and scholar, I delivered presentations and lectures in 70+ countries across 6 continents to different audiences, including at the European Parliament. My interviews with over 400 family business members - in Europe, Asia, North and West Africa, North and LATAM - have sharpened my cross-cultural understanding of family enterprise contexts. My publications span academic journals such as Family Business Review and Journal of Family Business Strategy, as well as book chapters, reports, and pedagogical cases. My work has been featured in 100+ articles and podcasts in professional and media outlets including Harvard Business Review , Forbes, Financial Times, Les Echos, Le Figaro, Le Monde, Radio France, CampdenFB, La Tercera, Tharawat and The Conversation. Among my past appointments, I was Director of the Financial and Wealth Management Master Program at the University of Bordeaux and Director of the Family Business Global Executive MBA at EDHEC Business School. I served for 8 years as academic expert for FBN International-Next Generation Committee, providing strategic guidance and support on research, education, entrepreneurship and conference programs for FBN-i and its national associations worldwide. I also served as board member of IFERA for two terms and as advisory member of boards and committees in several global organizations. Along with a Ph.D. in Management Sciences from the University of Bordeaux, I hold the FFI Advanced Certificates in Family Business and Family Wealth Advising and the Oxford Certificate of Women Leadership Development. I feel honored by the international awards and distinctions recognizing my humble contributions to the family business field, such as the Barbara Hollander Award (2020) and FamCap’s Top 25 Family Business Academics (2024).
