After managing the rental division for a year and a half, I was appointed to take over as President at Super Products. While managing the rental team, we saw continued growth in our parts and service model, as well as opened up several satellite rental stores to expand our brand reach. I am an accomplished operations and marketing leader with expertise in developing and growing new and existing markets, improving service and distribution operations, strategic planning, and product management. I approach business from the combined perspective of marketing and engineering, which has served me well whether locating a new facility, developing a new product, or landing a key account.
Led the Parts, Service, Body Shop, and Lease & Rental activities for a commercial truck dealer group, growing from 11 locations in 2 states, to 21 locations in 4 states through acquisition and organic growth. Directly supervised location General Managers, Parts & Service Directors, and Leasing Manager; total emploment in areas of responsibility exceeded 400 associates. Collaborated with Executive Team to establish goals and objectives then worked with leadership teams to develop budgets and operating plans to achieve company objectives. Orchestrated turnaround of lease and rental operations.
Started in franchise operations, developing new members and establishing new locations in North America. Progressed into store operations, managing two branches; quickly promoted to General Manager leading seven stores in TX, AL, GA and IL. Annual revenues exceeded $60M, staffing of over 100 sales, service and adminstrative professionals, operating a fleet of over 1,800 commercial vehicles. Improved Company Store profitability from $600k to $3.2M over four years, resulting in promotion to Director of Business Development where I led teams in US and Mexico, as well as collaborating with European operations, to achieve company store growth objectives.
Brand Manager, Powertrain & Vocational Products Maintained product plan, recommending updates and life cycle replacements; presented new product proposals to the Product Development Committee; coordinated development with Engineering through definition, design, testing and implementation; prepared new product announcements, and coordinated press releases; managed product-related activities for industry trade shows. Marketing Research Manager Conducted primary and secondary market research to determine market trends, brand equity and purchase criteria. Evaluated viability of European truck models and engines for the North American market. Developed industry databases and KPI reports to improve management access to economic, market and component information and forecasts.
