Dr. Randolph Ngwafor is a dedicated physician and clinical epidemiologist with over 14 years of experience in public health implementation and clinical research in tropical settings. His passion for saving lives is driven by his belief that everyone deserves equal and affordable healthcare. His goal is to realize this vision one individual at a time. His expertise encompasses a range of skills in clinical trials, disease control, advanced data analysis, research design and epidemiology, health economics, economic modelling, and health policy. He is pursuing a DPhil (PhD) in Clinical Medicine at the University of Oxford, with funding from the Li Ka Shing grant, the CoMo link fund and the Gates Foundation grant (MMALA, UCT). His thesis is focused on developing a model (epidemiological and economic) to optimize malaria control interventions with limited financial constraints. He is an alumnus of Harvard Medical School's Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Programme (GCSRT) and holds an MSc in Global Health and Development from University College London (UCL) as an African Graduate Scholar. He also holds an MSc in Public Health Biotechnology and a Medicinae Doctorae (MD) from Cameroon. Dr. Ngwafor is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health, a member of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and a member of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. Additionally, he has been recognized as an NIH-Fogarty Global Health Fellow and a Novartis Next Generation Scientist (NGS) Fellow.
