Up to Aug. 2011 I was Head of Mainline at Goldschmidt Thermit GmbH, a German company in the field of joint welding and the repair and maintenance of railway systems. Goldschmitd-Thermit -Group consists of 20 medium-sized companys dedicated to serving the growing international market for rail-based transportation systems. Until Jul 2010, I served as the Managing Director and speaker of the board of Faiveley Transport Witten GmbH, a system supplier of rail vehicles. In this role, I was responseble for the production, delvelopment and sale of brake and clutch systems for the rail industrie, streamlining the manufacturing organisation and also for the strategic orientation of the unit and had a P&L responsebility of €125M. From 2000 to 2008 I was the Managing Director at Howden, a company witch designs, engineers and supplies air and gas handling Equipment, including industrial fans, process gas compressors and rotary heat excangers. Here I was responseble for two operating units in UK and Germany. I was also served as the Chief Executive Officer of the German subsidary and oversaw the entire sales operations in Europe. I has held various senior level positions with global responsebilities at Sahm, Leitz and Kuka. I has over 27 years of experience with a focus on rail engineering, manufacturing organisation, lean management and international sales. I hold a Dipl. Ing. degree (equivalent to M.Sc.) from the University of Paderborn. Sinse Aug. 2012 I worked as a freelance consultant in the field of organisation, lean management, sales & marketing, financing and merger & acquisition
