Network Engineer in Capacity Engineering at AWS
Project Title: A Large U.S Retail Chain Environment: HSRP, OSPF, BGP, T1, and Internet link Responsibilities: • To manage WAN infrastructure of a US based Client, consisting of 1900+ WAN Routers. • Set route and configure with basic BGP attributes to use primary and secondary link connecting various locations. • Coordinating with the US WAN circuit providers for troubleshooting WAN circuit related issues. • Configuring new site with BGP and making the site live within the desired time limit. • Configuring policy based routing / IOS up gradation according to the RFC. • Coordinating with Cisco TAC for technical and hardware related issues. • Managing Network devices with OOB connectivity during disaster stage. • Capacity planning for the WAN Infrastructure. • Responsible for maintaining and managing Network Monitoring Tools: EMC Ionix and CA NetVoyant. • Compliance with the ITIL guidelines for IOS up gradations, hardware changes and configuration changes of routers, switches. • Provide Weekly status in the meetings with client for SLA Metrics, Configuration and Incident Management discussions.
