Current infrastructure is a 3-tiered heirarchy on a SAN infrastructure - StorageTek Virtual Tape Library, StorageTek Powderhorn Silo, Brocade OEM SAN Switches, on a fiber connectivity. . e) Manage, plan enhancements, refresh and maintain with the Bursa Data Centre Infrastructure M & E components - Chiller System (YORK), dual power raw source (TNB), UPS system, Generator Set, Auto change over switching system, Fire fighting system (Smoke detectors, very early smoke detection system (VESDA), Hi Fog Water Mist agent), wet string detector systems (Darwell), Operation monitoring and management system (OMMS)), Physical Security - CCTV and Card Access system. f) IT Security / IT Compliance: Have extensive knowledge in developing, enforcing and managing an effective IT Security infrastructure based on the British Standards, ISO 17799, customizing them into Bursa’s IT Security Policy & Standards, Anti-Virus Standards and Internet & E-mail Policy & Standards. g) Business Continuity : • Have extensive knowledge in developing, maintaining and managing the Disaster Recovery site’s Data Center infrastructure for Business Continuity purposes. • Have in-depth knowledge in recovery processes having developed, tested and maintained a comprehensive IT DR plan based on System/Data Owners requirements according to RTO/RPO. Global Infrastructure and Operations for Asia Responsible for Global Data Center (GDC) Operations and Infrastructure Management, for the APAC Region namely Australia, Malaysia, India, Korea, Japan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Vietnam and China. Manage Global IBM on all Operations and Infrastructure related tasks. Apart from the above I am responsible for the following Major areas in Operations and Infrastructure based on day-to-day Regional Computer Operations of all systems related to the business of Metlife and its clients with the objective of providing efficient and effective services. Implementation of new systems. - Day to Day business as usual activities - Projects based on Global Strategy - Processes based on ITSM and it's related processes in sync with the regions based on Global practices - Metlife Cloud Implementation Softlayer, Azure etc
Responsible for Data Center Infrastructure, SAN Storage Management, IT Compliance and the day-to-day operation of all systems related to IT Market Systems of the Bursa Group and its clients with the objective of providing efficient and effective services. • Console Operations – Managing 24x7 shift for batch, Ad Hoc jobs, planning, implementation, administration and support. • Data Center Infrastructure - Mechanical & Electrical and Physical Security Services • Centralized Storage Infrastructure on a SAN environment (inclusive of planning, implementation, administration and support) • The development, management and compliance of all IT Security policy & standards for Bursa and its Group. The additional responsibilities include planning, consultancy and recommendations on the IT Security Infrastructure for the LAN, WAN and Internet. • Technology Group Project Management. • Preparation and management of IT Operations/Compliance OPEX and CAPEX • Management of Service Level Agreements and Vendors. • Develop strategies for IT Operation/Compliance to align to the overall strategic direction of the Exchange Systems Business Unit. • Set appropriate targets and proactively manage actual performance against targets within the IT Operation/Compliance function. • Develop business with internal and external clients to better understand their needs and explore potential solutions to assist them to achieve their objectives.
