Impact-driven professional in higher education, managing CUHK social innovation funds supporting 150+ projects and raising HK$100M+ to turn research into real-world change.
Led CUHK’s strategic transition from the Knowledge Transfer Project Fund (KPF) and Sustainable Knowledge Transfer Project Fund (S-KPF) to the new Knowledge Transfer Impact Project Fund (KT-IPF) and Knowledge Transfer Venture Impact Fund (KT-VIF), advancing the university’s research impact agenda. Designed and launched these funding schemes to help faculty and CUHK-affiliated ventures apply research to real-world social challenges, resulting in sustainable solutions with measurable community benefit. Facilitated late-stage prototyping, sectoral collaboration, and venture incubation, ensuring research outcomes are channelled into impactful pathways. Strengthened CUHK’s role as a catalyst for social innovation by empowering academics and students to co-create initiatives that drive inclusion, sustainability, and long-term societal value.
