India
With more than 6 years of experience across IT, Travel, and Finance (Crypto) sectors, I've been instrumental in owning and driving critical projects from inception to delivery. My expertise spans a broad tech stack, including Spring, Java, Python, Scala, Angular, AWS, Docker, Apache Spark, and Apache Kafka and various technologies and methodologies required in software development cycle. **At Gemini Crypto Exchange** ▶︎ Core and founding member of the Payments Engineering Team in India. ▶︎ Led global bank integrations with a new Scala-based backend (had no prior experience in Scala before this). ▶︎ Have decreased the time for bank integration required for making fiat payments from almost more than a year to within 3 months. ▶︎ Spearheaded the transition from a monolith to microservices, accelerating release cycles from weekly to daily. ▶︎ Owing complete Release Cycle for Payments at Gemini. ▶︎ Mentored new joiners and interns (from 0 years of experience to 7+), ensuring seamless on boarding and helping them deliver from the get-go. **At United Airlines (Contract)** ▶︎ Have saved more than 180 human-hours/month by automating the process for monitoring issues in production environments for United Airlines. ▶︎ Twice awarded "Star of the Month" for mastering PySpark, Spark, and Palantir Foundry, contributing significantly to the client’s success. **At Amadeus** ▶︎ Holding anchor when the team was highly unstable (due to heavy attrition during Covid) and the committed timelines were tight! ▶︎ Had brought down the software development cycle of creating a Report in Amadeus CRS from 12 human days to 2 human days by introducing dynamic features in the product. ▶︎ Has achieved High-Flyer Award in the Q1 of 2021 for taking complete ownership of crucial epics and delivering within committed timelines. **Cross-Industry Strengths** ▶︎ Working in Production Environment directly providing instant RCA and fixes to the customer and problems. ▶︎ Have worked in an Agile Scrum development team delivering with above 95% velocity consistently in every sprint. ▶︎ I like to approach and conclude any problem with an intent to solve it (because if it were not solvable, it won't be a problem in the first place). **Bonus point** ▶︎ I have a knack for good documentations! :D
Working primarily as a Backend Engineer while wearing many hats for the world’s leading blockchain ecosystem (name masked for security purpose) to keep it tax compliant in various jurisdictions across the globe.

Part of the founding engineering team (Payments) at Gemini India. *Overview* ▶︎ Built a Report Ingestion System: Developed a fully automated system using Scala, AWS SQS, and AWS SNS to fetch and process bank reports, reducing manual effort by 3 hours daily and streamlining data ingestion from multiple banks. ▶︎ DBS Bank Integration: Owned and delivered the full deposit integration for DBS Bank (Singapore), ensuring secure and fraud-tolerant FAST payments, while aligning with bank systems. ▶︎ Designed a Transfer Dispute System: Build for WorldPay and PayPal, reducing resolution time by 35% and improving customer experience, resulting in a significant increase in repeat transactions ▶︎ Coordinated Critical LHV Bank Integration: Led the urgent update of API formats for LHV Bank (Estonia) before a critical deadline during the holiday season. This effort ensured uninterrupted payments of €2.5–3 million monthly and solidified trust in the Gemini India office's capability. ▶︎ Event-Based System Development: Designed an event-driven system using AWS SNS and Apache Kafka to decouple notifications and side effects from the monolith, improving system scalability and reducing complexity. ▶︎ Mentorship: Guided 5 final-year B.Tech interns on projects ranging from building real-time deposit processors to containerizing local environments for improved developer efficiency, and breaking up monolith services into microservices. ▶︎ On-Call Firefighting: Working at the warfront with whatever equipment we got and saved the customers from burning in the fire of what we call Bugs. :) *Key Achievements* ▶︎ Delivered high-impact projects that established the credibility of the Gemini India office, leading to more complex and critical work being assigned. ▶︎ Mastered Scala in just one week, contributing from day one. ▶︎ Received a rating of 4/5, reflecting consistent performance that exceeded expectations. *Overview* ▶︎ Working for United Airlines (USA), handling and supporting the Palantir Foundry Platform used by the organization to make sense of their complete data. ▶︎ Gained working knowledge of Python/PySpark and Apache Spark architecture to handle the pipelines running on Spark in Palantir Foundry. ▶︎ Working directly in the Production Environment taking the complete ownership of Change Requests and Enhancements. ▶︎ Optimizing the workflow to use less compute resources while processing Petabytes of data coming in every day. This is done by going through the PySpark code and optimizing it. ▶︎ Consistently fixing PROD issues in SLA time to not affect the business or complex downstream pipelines. ▶︎ Contributing in the Production Support for more than 200+ Spark pipelines running in production daily. ▶︎ Ad-Hoc Analysis of data quality issues. *Key Achievements* ▶︎ Saved more than 180 human hours/month by creating a utility using Rest APIs, Python and Foundry Recipes to automate the process for monitoring issues in production environments for United Airlines (earlier executed manually - 24/7) ▶︎ Saved 3 hours of manual efforts everyday by automating the process of identifying issues caused due to Throttling (Rate Exceeded) at AWS side (earlier it was done by scavenging through the issues manually). ▶︎ Helped in more pro-active identification of an anomaly by creating an utility with Rest APIs and Python to keep track of Apache Spark builds running in the platform on a daily basis as well as segregating them to have a better understanding of the load, the platform is experiencing at a given hour.
*Overview* ▶︎ Assigned on the United Airlines - Foundry Support Project. ▶︎ Ramped up on Python, Spark (PySpark) within one month. ▶︎ Working to improve the documentation, code quality and synergy among the team. *Key Achievements* ▶︎ Awarded "Star of the Month" - July 2022, Jan 2023 for consistent and over the top performance towards the client.
