Here's how it got started: Originally from Belgium, I moved to China when I was 27 to chase the expat dream life and tick all the boxes. Yet one persistent question kept surfacing: Is this all there is? I'd spent years building a life that looked right from the outside but felt empty from the inside. After a career breakdown and burnout I pivoted and re-built a life where the inside and the outside actually align. I built The Suited Monk philosophy around this, where no other tradition or philosophy could solve - how to live a fulfilled life and be at peace and still live in the real world.
