Part of an international team of students, researching what a commercially and journalistically sustainable magazine that is targeted at millennials could look like and how to create a similar platform. Over the semester, we will be dealing with questions such as: how can we transform a print magazine to an online environment so as to reach a new audience? who exactly are the millenials, how do you reach them, how do you engage them in the production, like with curation, for example? what themes are right for our target audience, based on the domain our client, WPG, publishes magazines in? how to monetize digital content and how to distribute it? In addition, we are dealing with collaborative writing, organising the work flow, maintaining our part of the PublishingLab blog, prototyping and coding a platform, presenting outcomes to the client, conducting experiments and surveys.
