Led the People-related workstreams related to Grammarly’s acquisition of Coda including a successful CEO and executive leadership change-over.
Oversight of the Total Rewards, People Operations, Global Mobility and HR Compliance, Contingent Workforce, People Analytics, People Systems and IT teams.
Successfully led a major workforce planning transformation initiative across 70k+ employees and all Salesforce business units to drive improved operating margins and talent strategy. • Influenced C-suite and other senior executives by articulating the case for change. Successfully won Business buy-in and active executive sponsorship of this key company strategic initiative. • Drove design of processes, including Workday configuration, creating enterprise-level consistency and balancing unique business unit needs. • Conceived and implemented differentiated change management plans by functional group to ‘win hearts and minds’ and set up all teams for success. • Partnered cross-functionally with multiple Finance, HR, and IT leaders to deliver project milestones on time and on budget.
Established and scaled Slack's Comp and People Operations functions to support growth from 1000 to 3500 employees and in strategic alignment with the changing needs of the company. • Implemented Slack's remote-first strategy, serving as a thought leader for other HR professionals navigating 'future of work' approaches. • Navigated the People team through Slack's public offering including implementation of essential SOX controls (successfully passed all subsequent SOX and ISO audits). Established a formal HR Compliance function. • Led international expansion (people workstreams) into six countries with challenging compensation, benefits, and legal employment requirements. Designed compliant programs, systems and compensation structures that would scale. • Stood up a contingent workforce function, including a new Vendor Management System, with strong support from Legal and Finance senior leader partners. • Implemented Visier cloud analytics for people insights along with robust Workday dynamic dashboards and a roadmap to mature People Analytics capabilities. • Drove M&A activities to integrate Slack people, systems, and procedures into Salesforce in alignment with the strategic vision of this $28 billion acquisition. (Slack was acquired by Salesforce in July 2021)
• Stabilized turnover and performance of a globally-distributed HR operations team responsible for employee lifecycle events from hire to retire. Brought outsourced work back in-house after a pivot in company strategy. • Led the Global Mobility team through a challenging U.S. immigration climate. Partnered with the Public Policy team to pen an amicus brief in support of Twitter employees and devised an international strategy to ensure retention and acquisition of key talent. • Acted as Subject Matter Expert on Mobility and Operations issues for Senior HR and Business leaders. Collaborated on major, all-company strategic workforce planning initiatives including site strategy and flexible work arrangements. • Partnered with stakeholders across People functions, Payroll, Finance, and IT to develop and implement new processes with a collaborative, "one team" approach in support of efficiency and employee experience.
