Technical Services Engineering is responsible for customer success with MongoDB, our tools ecosystem, and hardware sizing and set up for scalable, high availability architectures. We provide application support for backup, monitoring, automation tools, BI Connectors, drivers, backend as a service, and cloud products. My day to day primarily is spent supervising a team of 18 engineers who are busy resolving network, security, operational, and systems integration issues for MongoDB's largest customers, as well as troubleshooting monitoring, backup, and automation tools for MongoDB deployments.
Program Manager - Cloud Engineering. Primarily responsible for technical program management of the MongoDB Management Service, a software as a service (SaaS) product focused on monitoring, backup, and automation of MongoDB. Major responsibilities: - Manage technical projects and features, working closely with software engineers and technical staff to develop and track release milestones and schedules for the many moving parts that need to come together for an agile, 3 week release cycle - Develop a plan and schedule with well-defined milestones. - Manage communication of progress/status within the engineering team and external to the team (with customers, partners, etc). Escalate issues as necessary. - Assess the quality of releases through monitoring of incoming bugs.
