- Work in deal teams through all aspects of the investment process, from initial screening and due diligence, through approval, to post-investment monitoring and reporting; closed 14 direct co-investments in which we invested ~$700 million - Identify merits and risks of the investment through due diligence process and research, build financial models in Excel to analyze various cases and sensitivities, and present findings to the Investment Committee - Cover four major pension fund client relationships through day-to-day interactions and bi-weekly and quarterly presentations - Redesigned a model to more efficiently monitor our direct co-investments’ financial performance and to generate visual outputs used in both internal and external quarterly review presentations - Lead annual summer intern recruitment and full-time analyst hiring processes
As a part of my responsibilities at BlackRock, I was sent on a six-month rotation to work with the private equity team at TRS, one of our largest clients. - Worked in deal teams to assess private equity direct co-investments - Organized a one-week roadshow in New York during which a subset of the BlackRock and TRS teams met with high-priority private equity firms to both understand the firms’ strategies and to explain the TRS/BlackRock relationship - Acted as a liaison between TRS and BlackRock Private Equity Partners to make sure all parties were aware of pipeline investments and workflow timing
