    During my 8-week research attachment under Dr. Germaine Yong's team, I was involved in various aspects of scientific research and communications. - I supported the preparation of science-based presentation decks focused on nutrition and the gut microbiome for diverse audiences. - Conducted literature searches and compilations on emerging topics in women’s health and contributed to writing a section of a literature review addressing the relationship between the gut microbiome and estrogen regulation in perimenopausal women. - Was exposed to antimicrobial assay and sterile technique in the lab. - R programming to troubleshoot and categorize datasets involved in the REMEDY.

This experience deepened my understanding of molecular biology techniques and enhanced my skills in experimental design and protocol optimization.
