Accountable for over 500 employees, working in partnership with Santander Business Banking Directors to implement both the HR and Business agenda whilst continuing with the cost challenge associated with the integration of Alliance & Leicester and Abbey National.
Worked as a key member of the HR function assigned to implement mass organisational design changes within the business to successfully integrate Alliance & Leicester plc as part of the Banco Santander Group. Proposals included a reduction in FTE by circa 250 (from 700) and extensive restructuring of associated teams to ensure duplication of activity was removed and focus given to the new strategic plans.
Worked directly for the Head of Employee Relations delivering employee relations advice and support to HR colleagues and line managers, as well as organising and participating in two annual pay reviews and the negotiation of the closure of the DB pension scheme.
