I am very pleased to progress into my new role as Patient Flow Facilitator within the Site Management Team at MFT. This role enables me to utilise my stronger skills; such as being organised and driven to help make a positive impact to patient journey as to optimise service capacity and meet service demands. This role will allow me to facilitate high quality patient care, journey and discharge, which will help to enable a positive overall experience for patients, which is one of my main aims, and is of course at the forefront of anything we do at the Trust. This role requires strong organisational skills, integrity, the ability to use initiative, to be pro-active, dynamic, diplomatic, responsive and reliable, and have the ability to build good rapport with colleagues.

    • Clinical Assessor
      Jun 2022 - Nov 2023 · 1 yr 6 mos

I came into the Apprenticeship Department as a trainee assessor, to be able to assess learner's undertaking a Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship at MFT. I have recently completed/gained my Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement with Tameside College. I now have a number of learner's/healthcare support workers, that I train, support and guide through their apprenticeship programme through assessment of practicality on the wards or marking written work. This requires me to skill scan and use a multitude of assessment methods; depending on the strengths of the learner, to assess knowledge and skills set by Education standards and Awarding bodies, ultimately to enable high quality patient care and allow learners to achieve their goals. I was also actively involved in our recent OFSTED visit in April 2023; where we received a GOOD rating. Inspectors undertook ‘deep dives’ on my learner profiles, and I was able to showcase methods we use as a Centre to provide ongoing support to the learners. I was also able to showcase what I have learnt and how I am putting the methods in to practice, which has enabled the success of all of the learners on my case load to date.

    • Assistant Practitioner
      Sep 2015 - Jun 2022 · 6 yrs 10 mos

I was seconded into this role due to my knowledge, clinical skills and experience in healthcare. This required me to undertake a Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care as an Apprenticeship at The University of Bolton. Upon completion/once qualified, I continued to deliver all the skills I did in my previous role, but this enabled me to undertake much more of an independent role on the ward; which I have always felt I have been capable of in the setting. It enabled me to showcase my desire and abilities/potential to do more. It enabled me to work more autonomously. I prioritised care and activity, developed strong documentation and communication skills and worked more closely with the medical team in regard to ward rounds. I was also able to learn and practice new skills such as urinary catheterisation and continued to develop old skills such as venepuncture and ECG’s. My pro-active mentality and organisational skills were very much enhanced, which improved my good time keeping and enabled the smooth running of my shifts as a majority. I thoroughly enjoyed this role, and only ended it when a further learning opportunity came to me which also allowed for further progression within my career.
