Delving into the complex field of quantum mechanics and using state-of-the-art computational tools to understand the behaviour of matter beyond what the naked eye can see such as electrons densities and energy levels, molecular orbitals etc. . Comprehending quantum superposition of matter like electrons as it differs from the rules of classical physics and discovering how weird quantum mechanics can get!
UCL’s Advanced Propulsion Lab session was a great opportunity as I had tastes lectures, toured around the lab for electrochemical batteries and cells and was given my own task to use fruits and vegetables as battery cells for voltage.
Fantastic opportunity to work in the labs, participate in a ChemCar challenge and attend lectures concerning chemical engineering, job/career opportunities and the life of a chemical engineer at UCL.
Amazing opportunity to attend Women in Tech and Engineering event hosted my Upskill Me at the BT office. Brilliant panel talk with women in the tech and engineering field, especially with BT, BP and COLT, speed networking session and a wonderful exploration of the BT Aurora lab; where there is an abundance of advanced and well-polished technology to improve and develop our society today.
An amazing opportunity to learn and gain insight on various roles the members of a renown investment manager BlackRock take on. Discussed what types of investments the company does, mergers and acquisitions, risk and assessment using the software platform Aladdin Studio, legalities and compliances and many more. Had a trip to the Bank of England Museum to travel back in time to the historical roots of investment and money making. Made new connections with BlackRock members and learnt about their personal experiences in working with BlackRock and careers in finance.
