Oversee all aspects of the Chi Omega membership experience including collegiate chapter services, risk management, alumnae engagement, and programming.
• Oversee the day-to-day work of six employees at the Executive Headquarters and eighteen traveling National Consultants who are domiciled across the United States. This task includes the hiring, training, development and supervision of these employees. • Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service to Chi Omega collegiate chapters, advisory boards, and House Corporation Boards by the Chapter Services Staff and National Consultants. • Oversee the assessment of and assistance to Chi Omega collegiate chapters, including the determination of which chapters require visits, additional attention, and focused support and education. • Maintain a strong risk management program for the Fraternity. • Represent Chi Omega at internal and external meetings, workshops, and visits. • Address all pertinent legal issues while consulting with Chi Omega’s National President, other national board members, the Executive Director, the Director of Communications, and others as needed. • Work with the Director of Communications to craft and disseminate official statements on behalf of Chi Omega Fraternity. These statements are developed in conjunction with national board members, legal representation, and other Headquarters staff members. • Regular and periodic communications regarding overall and specific customer service, chapter assessment, and chapter performance to the Governing Council, Executive Director, and other Executive Headquarters staff. • Coordinate the Chapter Services staff work by integrating it with other service providers at Headquarters and outside volunteers, enabling and empowering them in their response to chapters, and providing continual feedback, evaluation, and development to them.
Provide customer service, education and support to Chi Omega’s collegiate chapter officers, chapter advisors, House Corporation Board members, the Chi Omega Governing Council (Chi Omega’s governing board), Executive Headquarters staff, national volunteers, and National Consultants. Liaison to the National Advisory Training Team
Student Aide to the program. The Greek Peer Educator Program was conceived by Dr. Sandra L. Caron in January 1990 as an outreach program for the University of Maine Greek System. Greek organizations were designed to promote leadership, scholarship, and community service in a network of brotherhood and sisterhood. Caron created the Greek Peer Educator program to promote a better understanding of the issues surrounding substance abuse and sexuality with Greek organizations in mind. The program is made up of specially trained undergraduate Greek students who provide information on these issues to fraternities, sororities, and special programs on campus. Primary responsibilities include conducting workshops, designing and distributing educational materials, and assisting in community health fairs.
Preside at all meetings of the Panhellenic Council. Preside at all meetings of the Executive Board. Serve as an ex-officio member of all Panhellenic Association committees. Communicate regularly with the Panhellenic advisor. Be familiar with the NPC Manual of Information and all governing documents of this association. Ensure that the NPC annual report is completed. Communicate regularly with the NPC area advisor. Maintain current copies of the following: University of Maine Panhellenic Association bylaws and standing rules; the Panhellenic Association budget; contracts executed on behalf of the Panhellenic Association; correspondence and materials received from the NPC area advisor; all College Panhellenic reports to NPC; and other pertinent materials.
Assists in the production of all media related items for Panhellenic, including recruitment brochures, flyers, advertisements, press releases, etc., and manages all needed changes/updates for the Panhellenic website. Assist the VP of Recruitment in all recruitment marketing.
Plan and execute chapter programming so that the chapter is educated about Chi Omega’s history, Ritual, and purposes. Implement the national membership program.
Plan, implement and evaluate chapter events in keeping with Chi Omega’s Rules, Policies & the Event Planning Guide and providing members the opportunities to develop and maintain friendships.
