Over two decades of experience in promotion, events, and branding make me an experienced digital marketer. In the last decade, I have been primarily involved with scientific (virtual/hybrid/live) events for VIB, a non-profit life sciences research institute in Flanders, Belgium. In the current phase of my career, I’m focussing on marketing the inspiring research(ers) at VIB and their events. I aim to achieve this through a variety of tactics, including content and social media marketing, employer branding, e-mail marketing, and more.
- Continuously developing and implementing the marketing strategy for VIB and VIB Conferences
Marketing, logistical and administrative support for the organization of high-level international scientific conferences & events. • Responsible for the Marketing strategy of VIB Conferences • Focus on marketing automation, CRM, Power BI • Development of the promotional tools for conferences • Create and execute marketing plans of the conferences & events • Support online and on site during (virtual) conferences
- Online marketing lead - Responsible for the bilingual (Dutch/English) online internal en external communication - Coordinating the editing team - Communications advisor for numerous projects - Online media coordinator for the MOOC "Introduction to Communication Science", 80.000 international participants
- Responsible for logistics at the University Library Singel - I created a wiki page for my colleagues and wrote technical process guides for it - Editor for the Library databases
I helped create the campaign for their social media output on their Dutch and Belgian Twitter and Facebook accounts. This resulted in a rapidly increased online presence on both platforms.
