Darryl comes from Baltimore, MD following a post-graduate Fellowship in Management and Administrative Training for Community Health Centers (MATCH) sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Bureau of Primary Healthcare (BPHC) and the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) in conjunction with Johns Hopkins University. A decorated veteran of the U.S. Navy Hospital Corps with active service in the Persian Gulf War (Desert Shield and Desert Storm), he was awarded; the National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 2 Stars & FMF device, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, Fleet Marine Force Ribbon, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with 1 Star, the French Fourragere', Expert JOTC-Panama, Two Good Conduct Awards, and an Honorable discharge post 10 years of active-duty service. A native of Memphis, TN, he holds a B.S. in Healthcare Management, a M.S. in Management, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD). He has an extensive background, knowledge and experience in federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), community healthcare delivery systems and managed care organizations. He is Principal of dW Holdings; a pro bono public interest propriety with emphasis in healthcare services investment, leadership-consulting, juvenile justice and judicial reform.
