I have served as Technical Laboratory Manager for food and environmental testing since 2015, bringing a decade of experience in leading high-performing lab teams. I hold a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Yarmouk University (2001) and an M.Sc. in Marine Sciences from the University of Jordan, Aqaba (2015). I’m also a certified internal auditor and a recognized technical assessor listed under the Jordanian Accreditation System. • Managing units and sections of the laboratory including staff, facilities, analysis, equipment, chemicals and materials. • Review, control, and approve laboratories results and issuing, authorizing, and approving food and Water analysis testing reports. • Issuing, managing technical Action plans and monitoring/following up plans progress and achievement. • Contribute to preparing plans (operational, and action) for the lab required activities to ensure the achievement of the lab objectives. • Follow up malfunction in equipment and processes and coordinate with the relevant sections to take required action to mitigate the Impacts. • Managing and maintaining labs policies and procedures to guarantee quality and safe operation. • Reviewing and assessing the performance of the lab units through the analysis of the Internal audit reports and manage corrective /correction action for the audit findings. • Performing statistical evaluation of the efficiency of labs operations, to improve weakness points. • Organize the purchasing of material & substances to facilitate securing the continuity of substances and equipment. • Set the specifications for lab tenders , and evaluate the service providers. • Enhancing and support teamwork and Engagement of people. • Managing building the capacity of the staff, and evaluating the external and internal training to perform duties in the laboratory. • Achieving national and international accreditation from the Jordanian accreditation unit (JAS) accreditation for lab tests according to ISO 17025 requirements. • Contributing to establish Quality Management System and Supervise its implementation, and ISO 17025, and ISO 9001 to ensure continuous compliance with lab and international Standards. • Contribute selection process of new lab staff, and evaluating their characters fitness to lab vacancies. • Initiate the Quality Committee in the laboratory to involve the lab staff in the quality process.
• Lab supervisor responsible for laboratory management, auditing laboratories using BH-QMS guidance, data validation, and technical document preparation. Coordinate and supervise the development of new methods using standards or/and non-standard references, (Support, direct and advise the laboratory analysts and technicians by the scientific information needed. • Chromatographic analysis development: Ethanol in non-alcoholic drinks, food antioxidants: BHT and BHA in oils, FAME in oils, sterols in oils, melamine, artificial water-soluble colors, aflatoxins (B1, B2, G1, and G2), Aflatoxin M1, food preservatives (sorbic and benzoic acids), histamine in fish, volatile organic compounds in water, trihalomethanes (THMs), pesticides residues in water, PAHs and others. • Work as Acting Quality Assurance Officer for the laboratories from June 10, 2007, up to Feb 01, 2008, Contributing in establishing the quality assurance system in the labs and preparing the quality manual and the needed quality procedures according to ISO 17025
• Contribute in initiating the olive oil laboratory by setting the specifications for the equipment, chemicals, and apparatus for the lab Activate many tests which are operated for the first time in Jordan for olive oil samples( such as sterols, fatty acid composition, and other), A leader and a member for the first established Olive Oil tasting panel in Jordan, Represent Jordan in the International Olive Oil Council ( IOOC) in the period of 2005-2006 • Undertake sample analysis using wet and instrumental analysis, such as gas chromatography, atomic absorption, and UV visible techniques and generating test reports. Following up quality control issues, parameters and preparing Work instructions and standard operating procedures for both technical and managerial processes, Assure the compliance of the lab with the ISO 17025 requirements • Other responsibilities include secondary review of data, data validation, and data management.
