I made my internship at STMicroelectronics during 6 months. Aim was to work on an On Board Charger (OBC) for electrical and hybrid vehicles. I did a comparison study on the integration of Silicon Carbide (SiC) components in an On Board Charger. The goal was to choose a topology for a 11kW charger and integrate ST power components inside and compare SiC vs Si component in term of efficiency, integration, cost and thermal. To summarize I made: _the choice of the topology (Rectification , PFC , DC/DC_LLC...) _current and voltage estimations _component choice (Si vs SiC components) _losses calculations _Integration (weight , volume) _Thermal aspects _Cost comparison _ST internal report Final goal was to highlight the advantages of SiC component VS Si.
