About

Hi there, My name is Qinying Wang and I go by Kim (She/her/hers) I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and MSW graduate from the University of Toronto with experience in mental health, crisis intervention, psychosocial assessment, and community-based care. My practice spans children, youth, adults, older adults, and families experiencing complex mental health, relational, trauma-related, and psychosocial concerns, grounded in culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and client-centred care. In my current clinical role, I conduct daily psychosocial and risk assessments, provide brief and ongoing counselling, support crisis intervention and safety planning, and deliver case management and care coordination based on clients’ clinical and psychosocial needs. My work often involves clinical triage, service navigation, psychoeducation, referral coordination, and helping clients access appropriate internal, external, and community-based supports across fast-paced and private practice settings. Across my clinical and community roles, I have worked with diverse and marginalized communities in both English and Mandarin, with a particular interest in youth mental health, family relationships, cross-cultural practice, and equitable access to care. My approach is integrative and draws from evidence-informed modalities, including IFS, CBT, ACT, SFBT, EFT, and relational and systemic frameworks, including SSLD-informed thinking where relevant. I am also interested in bridging clinical practice, community advocacy, and research, particularly in the areas of mental health equity, culturally responsive care, and family wellbeing.
