Neuroscience major with computer science minor graduating in January 2025, with an interest in bioinformatics. Previous research experiencing including scRNA data analysis, refining genomics pipeline, and molecular dynamic modeling.
• Hosted International Student Orientation for 50+ incoming international students with diverse background. • Mentored 7 international students by scheduling one-on-one meetings and monthly group events. Provided emotional support and suggestions on transition to a foreign institution.
• Assisted department associates with lab preparation of the year-long course “Topics in Biology” for 150+ students. • Assisted weekly lab section with 15 students, facilitated group discussions and evaluated student understandings. • Held monthly study groups and weekly office hours.
Project: Molecular dynamic simulation on protein interaction • To better understand the mechanism and conditions for liquid-liquid phase separation, performed simulation on protein interaction using hydrophobicity scale (HPS) model and umbrella sampling. • Plan on extending to real sequences by changing residue types and/or charge sequencing.
Project: Transcriptomic Change between pre-puberty and DCIS-stage C3(1)-Tag mice • PARP inhibitor treatment effectively treats triple negative breast cancer, but the specific mechanism remains unknown. • To investigate the therapeutic effect of PARP inhibitor on tumor microenvironment, performed cell clustering and cell-cell communication analysis on scRNAseq data obtained from pre-puberty and DCIS-stage C3(1)-Tag mice, which serves as a benchmark of further analysis.
