About

Dr Qian Peter SU is now an Emerging Leadership 1 Fellow (2020-25) of Australia National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and Postdoctoral Fellow (2020-22, co-fund) of National Heart Foundation. He is a Lecturer and Group Leader of the Laboratory of Quantitative Imaging At Nanoscale with SUper-resolution (QIAN SU LAB) in the School of Biomedical Engineering at University of Technology Sydney. He is also part-time visiting scientists at Heart Research Institute and Centenary Institute at University of Sydney. His research focuses on establishing an “Imaging Profiling Platform for Cardiovascular Disease” supported by the Volumetric Imaging Facility (VIF), of which Peter is the facility manager and key operator. In 2017, Dr SU received his PhD in Biophysics supervised by Profs Xiaoliang Sunney XIE and Yujie SUN from Biodynamic Optical Imaging Centre (BIOPIC) in Peking University (PKU) with the honour of “Outstanding Graduate Student of the Beijing City”. In 2012, Dr SU took an oversea exchange scholarship and received mentorship on instrumentation of super-resolution microscopy in Profs Xiaoliang Sunney XIE and Xiaowei ZHUANG’s labs at Harvard University. He received his B.Eng. in Bio-Engineering supervised by Prof Linhong DENG in 2011 from College of Bioengineering, Chongqing University.

      Dr Qian Peter SU is now an EL1 Fellow of NHMRC, Postdoctoral Fellow of Heart Foundation (co-fund) and Senior Lecturer at UTS. He is also a visiting scientist at the Heart Research Institute (HRI) and Centenary at USyd.       Mr. Qian Peter Su is a PhD candidate of Biodynamic Optical Imaging Center (BIOPIC), School of Life Sciences, Peking University, Beijing, P.R. China. He received his B.E. under the guidance of Dr. Linhong Deng in 2011 from School of Bioengineering, Chongqing University, Chongqing, P.R. China. Currently, he is studying for a doctoral degree major in Biophysics under the guidance of Prof. Xiaoliang Sunney Xie and Prof. Yujie Sun.
