Developed the DNA-catalyzed asymmetric methodology, establishing a dual-function catalytic system that also enables kinetic resolution with high yield and enantioselectivity. (First author, manuscript in preparation). Built and optimized a custom DNA synthesizer system for in-house production and purification of modified DNA/RNA, accelerating multiple research projects. Established the preparative PAGE workflow for RNA purification, enhancing yield and reproducibility. Standardized MALDI matrix preparation and calibration protocols adopted lab-wide to improve consistency and analytical accuracy. Led a 3-member team managing chemical inventory, storage, and safety compliance, ensuring smooth and efficient lab operations. Mentored two master’s and one undergraduate student in organic synthesis, nucleic acid workflows, and scientific writing, supporting successful project completion. Served as Teaching Assistant for undergraduate inorganic chemistry lab, instructing and supervising 15 students to ensure safe and effective completion of experiments.

Led oligonucleotide synthesis and purification in a project developing G-quadruplex PROTACs for selective degradation of G4-binding proteins, resulting in a co-authored publication. Investigated and developed stereo-controlled phosphorothioate oligonucleotides, advancing applications in antisense therapeutics. Contributed to projects on antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) therapeutics, synthesizing and optimizing candidates targeting TYK2 and other genes to advance treatment strategies for autoimmune diseases. Synthesized nucleic acids to support multiple lab projects, ensuring timely production based on researchers’ needs and accelerating overall project progress. Managed consumables and lab inventory, proactively coordinating purchasing to maintain adequate stock and prevent workflow interruptions.
