  • Youth Fellowship (Myanmar-EU Empowerment Program) at Delegation of the European Union to Myanmar
    Feb 2024 - Jul 2024 · 6 mos

I have been participating in the Myanmar-EU Empowerment program (MEETUp) under the Delegation of the European Union to Myanmar, which began in February this year. The program aims to connect and collaborate with young actors of change, providing them with opportunities to engage with EU institutions and like-minded individuals. Out of 196 applicants, I was one of the 22 young, driven individuals selected from across Myanmar, all passionate about making a positive impact in our communities. Over the past five months, we have engaged in various workshops, webinars, panel discussions, and site visits focused on responsible and ethical European business practices in Myanmar, EU projects aimed at empowering the people of Myanmar, and the EU's numerous contributions and initiatives toward the prosperity and development of Myanmar's people and the ASEAN region. Additionally, we have gained insights into the structure and functions of the EU and the European Parliament. These activities have been instrumental in fostering dialogue, amplifying our voices, and building an inspiring community for youth. As this pilot program concludes, I am excited to share the journey and the progress we have made in empowering the youth of Myanmar.
