I evaluate durability of components with Finite Element Analysis. During my career I gained experience in automotive industry (turbochargers) and aerospace (aircraft engines). I have solid background in most of commercially used simulation software - Ansys, Abaqus and HyperWorks. Apart of FEA simulations, I develop processes and calculation methodologies. My career ambition is to became a mentor and expert in my field.
Simulation&Validation Tasks: - Preparing thermo-mechanical fatigue analysis of turbine housings (Abaqus), reporting results to team internally and to external customers - Design optimization based on FE-mesh (Tosca Shape and HyperMesh morphing), preparing output surfaces for implementation on CAD-models - Introducing automatic optimization methodology in Simulation Team, defining guidelines and training co-workers (Tosca Shape Optimization) - Coordinating projects from strength analysis side to prepare final shape of parts for validation tests and production; communication with customers - Performing vibration simulations (modal/frequency extraction, frequency response/forced frequency) in Nastran and Abaqus software - Supporting cost-reduction projects (durability or stiffness optimization for parts with reduced mass or produced from different material) - Assessment of fatigue strength of components using analytical methods - Generating thermal boundary conditions with CFD analysis (Ansys CFX)
Pratt & Whitney - Satellite Engineering Office Tasks: - Finite Element Analysis of bearing stack (definition of the nut tightening angle on engine shaft, interference fits optimization, stress calculations) - Preparing bearing support submodel, high cycle fatigue analysis, evaluation of the calculation results with presentation - Calculations and selection of appropriate interference fits in carrier assembly - Stress calculations and FEA of assembly gear elements - Conceptual design of differential planetary gear carrier used to drive contra-rotating fans in AHEAD engine
Aviation Systems/Analysis Airbus wing components analysis: - Critical locations selection from static analysis of hinge rib - Critical locations selection from fatigue analysis of intermediate ribs - Checking the correctness of data loaded to SQL database from Patran report files (with use of Excel macros) - Core shear and wrinkling analysis of upper panel (composite) - Updating technical documentation
