My work focuses on plant-pathogen interaction, in particular on pathogen recognition and downstream immune signaling in Arabidopsis thaliana. Specifically, I ask how EDS1, a crucial protein in effector triggered immunity, steers transcriptional reprogramming via regulation of salicylic acid and jasmonic acid hormone crosstalk. To this end I coordinate numerous sub-projects in an effective and time-oriented manner. Regular progress reports and discussions with scientific leaders ensure lasting impact.
