I help fintechs, banks, and growth-stage software companies across the U.S., U.K., and Europe turn AI into real products, workflows, and decision systems, either through focused high-leverage sprints or as a Fractional Chief AI Officer. My work sits at the intersection of agentic AI, ML-driven decisioning, product strategy, and hands-on execution. I focus on financial crime, credit decisioning, compliance workflows, and AI-enabled operations, helping leadership teams prioritize the right use cases, design workable systems, and get them into practice. Previously, I scaled Klarna’s data science organization from 20 to 110+ scientists, served as Chief Data Officer at Catawiki, and founded the first Dutch startup accepted into Y Combinator.

Built and led Stenn’s AI & Decision Science function, driving adoption of LLMs and decision systems across credit, fraud, and operations. • Designed and deployed ML-powered credit decisioning systems covering 100% of company credit approvals across invoice factoring and RBF, with 2.5B USD processed and 0% gross loss rate on the invoice factoring book since Dec ’23. • Developed LLM-based document checks (60% → 99% accuracy), higher-accuracy OCR pipelines, and AI-powered fraud detection. • Built an AI-powered internal chatbot in Slack using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) with CoBERTv2. • Designed and implemented scalable AI & ML infrastructure in Azure for real-time decision-making.
• Scaled Data Science from 20 → 110+ members across 8 offices. • Led teams in credit risk, fraud detection, forecasting, recommender systems, and customer segmentation. • Acting domain lead for the largest Engineering domain (140 members) and later joined the largest Product domain's (480 people) management team. • Highest-scoring Competence in Klarna’s 2022 Engagement Survey.
