Developing software projects in Scala & Rust
My role was to lead a cross-domain team of five senior developers, performance engineer, DevOps engineer, and a domain expert/analyst to deliver highly performant trading platform that provided liquidity via smart order routing techniques. I was also the original author of the liquidity engine itself, smart order routing algorithm, and multiple extensions for market-making strategies. I also conducted several technical interviews technologies: Microservices • HFT • Scala • Cats • FS2 • NATS • Protobuf • Aeron • Cloud SQL
I've been responsible for developing Tagger (data-intensive influencer marketing & social intelligence platform), and involved in a system design process & high-level architecture refactoring - including a migration from Akka to the Typelevel stack. My key achievement was to introduce Slack-like mentions & notifications to the platform's chat, raw geospatial data processing pipeline, shortlinks support, and integration with multiple social media third-party services technologies: Scala • Cats • Slick • Apache Kafka • ClickHouse • Apache Solr • MySQL
I've developed multiple Scala-based projects, done the FP way (Cats, tagless final). These included multi-user services for managing Jupyter notebooks, rideshare fares comparisons, project security monitoring, time tracking and customized AWS tooling, among others
