Software engineer with 10+ years of experience, focused on backend systems in the crypto space for the past several years. My main language is Go (6 years daily), with additional experience in Rust and TypeScript. Most of my recent work has been around algorithmic trading: designing system architecture, building automated trading strategies, and integrating with both CEX and DEX environments. This includes emulating Uniswap liquidity pools as CEX orderbooks, building a market-making system for a proprietary token, and developing an AI-powered recommendation engine for a crypto earning platform. Outside of work, you'll usually find me at the track — I'm an avid drifter and enjoy pushing cars (and code) to their limits.
Backend engineer on a multi-year initiative to design and operate an automated crypto trading platform from the ground up. Focused on system architecture, event-driven services, and integrations with both CEX and DEX environments. Primary stack: Go (daily), with Rust for performance-sensitive components and TypeScript for selected integrations. Selected work within this role: ➡️ Automated Crypto Trading System - Core Platform (Feb 2020 - present) • Designed and built the PoC that became the core architecture adopted in production. • Developed initial trading strategies and the event-driven message pipeline using NATS and Protocol Buffers. • Collaborated on Rust components for latency-critical paths; maintained code quality across the Go/Rust codebase. ➡️ AI Recommendation Engine - Crypto Earning Platform (Feb 2026 - Apr 2026) • Architected and built an AI-driven system suggesting earning opportunities based on user portfolio, risk appetite, and real-time market conditions. • Leveraged LLM APIs for decision support; designed prompt orchestration and grounding via vector search over market and portfolio context. ➡️ Adaptive Market Making Strategy (Dec 2025 – Feb 2026) • Implemented a fully adaptive market-making strategy for a proprietary token, maintaining liquidity and price stability across exchanges. • Continuously adjusted behaviour based on real-time signals: market trend and price momentum, open positions, available capital and inventory balance, and token behaviour on external venues. ➡️ DEX / Web3 Adapter — Uniswap V3 CEX Emulation (Apr 2023 – Oct 2023) • Built an adapter mirroring Uniswap V3 liquidity pool logic as a CEX orderbook, integrated with the existing trading system. • Deployed and maintained a self-hosted The Graph node for low-latency on-chain data. • Reverse-engineered Uniswap smart contracts and AMM mechanics to simulate pool behaviour, including concentrated liquidity ranges.
Led iOS engineering for BitBay, at the time one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in Europe. Owned the technical side of the mobile product end-to-end - architecture, implementation, and App Store releases. • Built the BitBay iOS app from the ground up - architecture, implementation, and release process. • Implemented complex trading flows and real-time market data features. • Several of the resulting patterns were later adopted by competing crypto apps. • App surpassed 100,000+ downloads on the App Store shortly after launch. • Product received the Behance Award - Best Crypto App (UI/UX category). • This project sparked a deep interest in crypto markets that defined the rest of my career path and led directly to my move into backend trading systems.
