I am an engaged scholar, teacher, and industry speaker passionate about circular and sustainability-oriented innovation management at the level of new products, product-service systems, and business models. I am particulary interested in building effective circularity in organizations based on inter- and intraorganziational collaboration. I bridge international competitive research and publication with a deep understanding of managerial practice derived from strong industry partnerships.
I am Head of the Institute for Integrated Quality Design (IQD) at Johannes Kepler University (JKU) Linz. My research interests focus on sustainability-oriented innovation management, integrated product design and the organizational context (e.g. management systems).

I co-founded and have co-led the Innovation Network aiming at Sustainable Smartphones (INaS) at the Centre for Sustainability Management (CSM).

At the Innovation Incubator at Leuphana University of Lüneburg, Germany, I was a Professor for Energy Transition Management. My main research fields were sustainability-oriented innovation, sustainable entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises in the context of corporate sustainability with particular emphasis on energy transitions.

Der Executive MBA Sustainable Business and the Circular Economy vermittelt Kompetenzen, um Geschäftsmodelle, Produkte und Dienstleistungen sowie die damit verbundenen Wertschöpfungsprozesse im Kontext sich wandelnder Märkte und Rahmenbedingungen aktiv zu gestalten. DURCH NACHHALTIGKEITSORIENTIERTE WERTSCHÖPFUNG IN FÜHRUNG GEHEN Durch regulatorische und gesellschaftliche Veränderungen der Märkte sind Unternehmen mit steigenden ökologischen und sozialen Anforderungen konfrontiert, und zwar entlang des gesamten Produktlebensweges (von Ressourcenabbau bis zur Produktentsorgung) sowie im Dienstleistungsprozess. Um unternehmerische Potenziale zu heben und langfristig erfolgreich zu sein, müssen Unternehmen ihre Geschäftsmodelle, Produkte und Wertschöpfungsprozesse anpassen und Managementsysteme kompatibel gestalten. Diese mit hoher Komplexität behaftete Veränderungsaufgabe kann nur durch Zusammenarbeit zwischen allen Funktionsbereichen im Unternehmen und Wertschöpfungspartnern gelingen.
