My expertise comes from more than two decades as a strategy consultant and business leader in both the EU and USA, focused on designing state-of-the-art strategy processes and strategy execution systems to drive top- and bottom-line performance. Throughout my career, I had the privilege of learning hands-on from key authorities in the strategy and performance management field such as Robert S. Kaplan and Péter Horváth. I have a proven track record in consulting with c-suite executives and management leadership teams of Fortune 500 companies and mid-sized market leaders. Today, I am a full professor of strategic management and a lecturer at various globally recognized universities such as EDHEC, ESCP, and EBS Executive School focusing on sustainable strategy and business transformation. I enjoy sharing my expertise as lecturer, author, advisor, speaker, and moderator while continuing research in the strategy field. Originally equipped with a diploma in mechanical engineering and business management (Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing.), I received my doctorate in the field of Strategic Management from the European Business School (EBS) in Germany.

Teaching Sustainable Strategic Management in the Master in Management (MiM) program at ESCP Berlin campus. ESCP is one of the leading Grandes Écoles in France with MiM ranking among the top-tier programs globally and in Europe (FT) and being recognized as the leading program in several countries including Germany. My course covers the entire strategy process: strategic foresight and analysis, strategy formulation including sustainable and resilient business models, and strategy execution and transformation. I put special emphasis on the impact of mindsets and cognitive biases on sustainability-related strategic decision making.
Teaching Sustainable Strategy in MSc in Global & Sustainable Business at Lille campus as well as in the Global MBA Program in Nice. The GMBA is ranked 4th worldwide for ESG & Net Zero Teaching (FT 24). EDHEC is one of the leading Grandes Écoles in France. Supervised several teams on managing real-live business projects for companies such as Schneider Electric, IBM and SBM Offshore in the GMBA Sustainable Impact Challenge (SIC) with two of my teams winning the esteemed SIC awards. Depending on target group, courses provide academic foundations and actionable methods and tools for sustainble strategizing with a special emphasis on designing new business models.
Founded and manage "Strategy, Sustainability and Business Transformation" major in Master of Advanced Management (M.Sc.), the first sustainability-oriented major program at the Neu-Ulm University. It integrates Sustainability education with Strategy, Innovation, Finance, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship. 2012-2020: Head of Master of Advanced Management (M.Sc.) program and examinations board Currently teaching Strategic Management, Sustainable Strategy & Transformation, Sustainable Business Design & Innovation, and State of the Planet & Business Transformation at graduate and undergraduate levels.
