To deepen my strategic capability, I completed an MBA in International Business & Strategy at the University of Birmingham, where I worked on live consulting projects, business transformation challenges and research exploring leadership and organisational performance. My experience combines business analysis, commercial strategy, stakeholder management and organisational transformation with a strong interest in consulting and sustainable business. As part of the Grow Movement consulting programme, I worked as a Business Consultant to support Nutrinest Rwanda, a purpose-driven agri-food start-up transitioning towards the production of composite flours and nutrition-based food products. My role involved: 1. Conducting market and financial analysis to assess the feasibility of Nutrinest’s expansion and funding strategy. 2. Developing a comprehensive funding roadmap, including grants, bank loans, and equity-based investment options tailored for small agri-enterprises in East Africa. 3. Advising on business strategy and scaling pathways, focusing on sustainable production, gender-inclusive employment, and long-term financial resilience. 4. Collaborating with the startup founder to design a phased funding timeline and risk mitigation plan for implementation from late 2025 onwards. This experience allowed me to apply my MBA consulting skills in a real-world, cross-cultural context helping an early-stage enterprise build a financially viable and socially impactful business model in Africa.
Acted as the strategic link between business stakeholders and technical teams, I specialized in optimizing end-to-end manufacturing processes within the abas ERP ecosystem. My focus was on transforming complex industrial requirements into scalable digital solutions that drive operational efficiency. • Conducted deep-dive discovery sessions to map "As-Is" and "To-Be" workflows across Finance, Production (APS), and Supply Chain modules. • Translated diverse stakeholder needs from the shop floor to the C-suite into high-quality functional specifications and technical user stories. • Collaborated with consultants to configure abas ERP modules, ensuring the system supported specific Make-to-Order (MTO) and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing environments. • Led data cleansing and migration efforts from legacy systems to the abas database. Developed custom Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards to track real-time KPIs and production bottlenecks. • Partnered with IT teams to facilitate seamless integrations between the ERP and third-party systems. • Spearheaded User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and authored comprehensive training documentation, achieving a 95% user adoption rate within the first 30 days of Go-Live. • Systems: abas ERP, abas Connect, SQL, BI Reporting Tools. • Methodologies: Agile/Scrum, abas Global Implementation Method (GIM), BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation).
Promoted to bridge the gap between Amex Business Stakeholders and the Infosys Engineering team. Focused on translating complex financial requirements into scalable technical roadmaps for digital transformation projects. Key Contributions: • Requirement Transformation: Led discovery sessions with Amex Product Owners to define Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Specifications (FRD) for the Next-Generation Payment Gateway. • Gap Analysis & Strategy: Conducted deep-dive "As-Is/To-Be" analysis for the migration of merchant data from legacy mainframes to the Infosys Information Platform (IIP), ensuring zero data loss during the transition. • Stakeholder Management: Acted as the primary liaison between the US-based Amex business team and the offshore development center in India, ensuring 100% alignment on project scope and "Definition of Done." • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Orchestrated the UAT phase for new merchant-facing features, defining test cases and validating that the technical output met the high-security standards of the financial services industry.
Focused on the technical execution and maintenance of Amex’s Global Merchant Services (GMS) platforms. Responsible for ensuring high availability of transaction processing systems and optimizing backend data workflows. Key Contributions: • System Optimization: Refactored legacy Java/J2EE codebases, resulting in a 15% improvement in data processing speeds for daily merchant settlement reports. • Bug Resolution & L3 Support: Managed technical debt by identifying and resolving high-priority production tickets, maintaining a 99.9% uptime for the Amex Express Checkout integration layer. • Automation: Developed Unix Shell scripts to automate routine system health checks, reducing manual monitoring effort by 10 hours per week. • Agile Collaboration: Actively participated in Scrum ceremonies, translating technical constraints into realistic sprint points during the transition to Big Data (Hadoop) architectures.
