    1. Designed, modeled, fabricated and characterized high power acoustic transducers based on multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWNT) for wide range of frequencies  Developed the thermo-vibro-acoustic model (theoretical and numerical) which integrated the multi-layer physics such as thermal, vibration and acoustics engineering for final output.  Designed and fabricated high power encapsulated acoustic transducers/projectors based on CNTs for wide range of frequencies.  Conducted detailed thermal, vibration and acoustics experiments for transducers realization and model validation. Developed the state of the art experimental facilities for multi-step characterization.  3D laser vibrometer, Infrared thermography, particle image velocimetry (PIV), and microphone/hydrophone setups were used to understand the thermal, vibration and acoustics physics in both air and water medium. 2. Used multifunctional materials to develop the systematic study which could help in realizing the autonomous vehicle. Characterize the materials suitable for integrating in the vehicle’s tire environment. Conducted the robust field test for these materials to sense some of the key features of tire-road interactions such as tire pressure, wheel load, coefficient of friction, type of terrains, vehicle velocity etc. 3. Modeled, designed, fabricated, and tested the silica diaphragm which can be used to measure the acoustic disturbance of the order of 0.002 psi and a high bandwidth of 1 MHz with wide range of temperature range. Developed the Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) process for fabrication to realize small diaphragms. Finite Element Modeling(FEM) was used in designing prior to fabrication.

  • Assistant Executive Engineer ( Drilling) at Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd
    Sep 2009 - Jul 2014 · 4 yrs 11 mos

Drilling and Well Engineer •Actively engaged with various research groups to design the desired well profiles and further execution of those designs on rig floor. •Worked and researched in almost all the domains of drilling like Dual tubing completion of well in different production zone, completion of well with Short Radius Drilling Hole (SRDH), Whipstock setting, window cutting & side track of the existing well, directional drilling, lowering and cementing of all type of casings and liners (7” & 5”), cutting and retrieving of casings (by casing cutter and grapple). •Determined the perforation zone and carried out perforation job at different layers of formation. •Design and execution of mud parameter for better lifting of cuttings even at inclined and extended wells. •In-charge of CBL-VDL and USIT logging carried out by SCHLUMBERGER. •Freeing the stuck string in open hole (by manual work or by applying diesel operation), controlling the losses of formation (by applying suitable pills), analysis of pore pressure, formation pressure and fracture gradients. •Headed the offshore jack-up oil rig for 1 year and managed around 100 people for various drilling and well completion activities. Established the collaboration with around 30 other offshore oil rigs in Mumbai High.
