FIRE Capital Fund is India’s first private equity fund established for investments in real estate. It focuses on building stakeholder value through ‘an activist model’ where it adds value across the real estate development chain. Leadership weathered through the great recession of 2008-2009 to launch a second fund and provide exits by the mid-2010s. 2007 was an exciting time to join the first analyst team shaping India's first real estate private equity. I actively contributed towards end-to-end deal executions and portfolio management across the two funds. Earned two promotions in the year 2009-2010 and a year later I decided to pursue MBA focused on private equity from the London Business School.
SmartAnalyst is a global VCs-backed New York-based boutique consulting firm providing decision-making support to global pharmaceuticals, global investment funds, and bulge-bracket investment banks. It raised ~$6M and was acquired for $24M by Ireland-based UDG Healthcare - a subsidiary of McKesson, US in 2018. Amongst the top performers, I earned two promotions within a year. Joining at the growth stage, I gained the opportunity to establish practices for multiple product portfolios and lead cross-functional teams. In particular, I led establishing pharmaceutical drug valuation advisory practice. SmartAnalyst leadership carved out a niche as a pharma-focused company that specializes in evidence-based analytics, consulting, and strategic decision support, shutting down other verticals. Working for global investment funds excited me to seek out a principal investment role. I moved to FIRE Capital Fund.
