Epic is a developer and vendor of Electronic Health Record software for mid-size and large medical groups, hospitals and integrated healthcare organizations. 1. Migrated the automatic clinical summary generation tool used by physicians to web. 2. Worked on improving the performance of the core infrastructure to retrieve and match patient information from multiple hospitals to handle the ever increasing data and traffic. 3. Worked on a new tool to assist physicians to easily charge for their professional services using Canto, Epic’s iOS application. Devised a new workflow to improve performance and reduce errors in professional charges charged by physicians.
Worked as a Research Assistant under Astrid Keihn and Pushpendra Singh. We worked on extending our fixed n-process causal checkpointing algorithm to dynamically increasing/decreasing number of processes.
