Managing BharatPe portfolio by driving key strategic programs.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Program & Portfolio Management • Define and drive engineering roadmaps, ensuring seamless integration with company-wide goals. • Lead and optimize the portfolio of technical programs, balancing risk, cost, and impact. • Establish scalable frameworks for cross-functional collaboration and program execution. Software Delivery & Execution Excellence • Own delivery planning, tracking execution across multiple engineering teams. • Define KPIs and success metrics, proactively mitigating delivery risks. • Optimize processes, ensuring engineering teams operate at peak efficiency. Operations & Business Function Support • Integrate engineering strategy with business operations, ensuring seamless execution of key initiatives. • Collaborate with finance teams to support forecasting, budgeting, and cost optimization. • Drive roadmap planning, ensuring initiatives align with long-term business and product strategy. Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement • Engage with C-level executives, co-founders, and senior leadership to align technical strategies with business objectives. • Partner with engineering, product, and business leaders to drive clarity and execution on high-impact initiatives. • Communicate progress, risks, and strategic recommendations, ensuring transparency at all levels. Cross-functional Collaboration & Risk Mitigation • Facilitate cross-team synchronization, removing bottlenecks and driving execution at scale. • Proactively identify and resolve dependencies, conflicts, and blockers across engineering and product teams. • Drive engineering best practices, fostering a culture of operational excellence and innovation.
• Driving multiple program and sub-programs in parallel for the digital software team in Ola Electric from 0 to 1 phase • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large cross-functional initiatives. • Managing stakeholders from different cross-functional teams by setting expectations and providing frequent program/project status reports. • Prioritizing and clarifying project commitments as well as establishing and maintaining clear chains of accountability • Raising flags on potential risks with plans to mitigate them • Managing vendors by collaborating on projects, resourcing, procurement, and driving joint debugging sessions.
• Managing the software release schedule for multiple product teams and multiple competing customer projects in parallel • Lead and Manage development teams using the Agile & SAFe framework • Manage deliverables from multiple interdependent component projects to schedule with competing priorities simultaneously. • Management of adhoc product and business requirements and timely release plan • Creating and maintaining appropriate JIRA dashboards and boards for flagging any SLA breaks.
• Interact with client, consultatively, to determine project requirements and needs analysis. • Ensure the Team Release Planning is set up. Create Release plan and ensure JIRA is up to date for each team. • Communicate project scope, status, and risks to all stakeholders. • Monitor the defect management process with teams and assess the risks and issues on the project with appropriate frequency and mitigate/escalate as necessary. • Identify potential challenges by tasks from other projects and determine the impact on the program & project timeline. • Get the acceptance for the demonstrated user stories from the Product owner and ensure that are accepted in JIRA at the demo. Follow up on user stories that have been rejected by the product owner. • Record accurate and timely accounting of time spent on project related activities. • Follow established project, departmental, company procedures and quality standards. • Follow established project management standards. Provide activities related to the management of assigned implementation projects to bring the project to a timely close and transition the client appropriately. • Update internal documentation as applicable. • Generate weekly program reports and ensure overall transparency of program deliverables • Liaise with other departments to ensure the internal client / stakeholders are apprised of progress • Liaise with Solution Management to ensure plans are sound with respect to scheduling and customer needs • Presides Scrum of scrums. • Remove impediments for the teams and escalate any impediments you cannot remove yourself. • Monitor holiday requests for your teams and ensure project impact is assessed. • Ensure that Demo is set up at the end of the iteration using the BF Iterations & Demo shared outlook calendar. • Attend the Retrospectives. • Approve timesheets every Friday.
