I am a year 4 student at NUS Law. I am also in one of NUS’ special programmes at NUS College (a merger between Yale-NUS College and the University Scholars Programme). I believe in a holistic approach to learning, complementing my law modules with non-law modules at NUS College, and gaining practical experience through internships and legal competitions. My interests lie in the intersection between technology and law. As such, I am exploring legal technology and the convenience it offers lawyers to automate routine tasks (if used responsibly). I’m open to connections and would love to have a chat about anything legal related or otherwise. Drop me a message!
I was part of a working group to update the SJLS House Style. In preparation for this project, I undertook a comprehensive comparison of the SLR Style Guide 2015 and the SLR Style Guide 2021, noting all the minute differences, and whether it made sense to adopt the changes into our own house style. Worked on 2 Book Reviews, and 5 Articles; checking and editing for general coherence and adherence to the house style.

Conducted legal research post-trial to contribute to closing submissions, examining the agreements governing shareholders in the context of oppression, and determining what constitutes oppressive conduct concerning those agreements. Conducted legal research on the court’s inherent jurisdiction concerning applications under the Mental Capacity Act for deputyships. Conducted legal research on the consumption of specified drugs under s 8(b)(ii) read with s 8A of the Misuse of Drugs Act, and s 103(5) of the Criminal Procedure Code. Prepared 2 slide decks on the Singapore Court's supervisory powers in international arbitration. Prepared a draft witness statement and question bank in preparation for an interview with a key witness.
