- Leading efforts on the ads inference model processing space, to build and deploy a new framework that promises improved ads inference metrics - Built a complete model framework (multi-year, multi-org effort) from the ground up for multi-prediction multi-stage ads ranking, with all productionization tooling and optimizations - which was shipped to the most core models of Meta, and resulted in ads top line metrics improving by 2%+ and multi-millions incremental revenue - Built a successful proof of concept modeling technique that could use aggregated data for learning and preserve individual privacy, which was then spun into its own org - Developed and enhanced the ads deep learning modeling framework - Improved reliability of the modeling, training and serving stacks for ads models by leading dedicated efforts to improve core metrics
- One of the core engineers to completely design and develop the AWS DeepRacer service from the ground up - Worked with the program managers to drive the requirements for the service and prioritize the functionalities to add - Co-ordinated efforts from multiple teams (dependent services) and ensured that the engineers and program managers across the teams were appropriately following requirements and meeting timelines - Helped build up the team by conducting a very large number of interviews in a short timeframe and personally onboarding the new members so that they could start contributing as soon as possible and meet the overall project timelines successfully
- Developed services and added functionality across a wide variety of domains in the core Alexa platform so that Alexa was able to do more things - Designed and developed tools and services so that third party developers can easily integrate with Alexa and achieve parity with first party devices - Added a lot of features to the Alexa Client SDK, which is used by many developers and device manufacturers to integrate with Alexa
- Led a team to optimize and automate various services billing workflows in hospitals - Reduced the overall time of nightly jobs (which do a detailed analysis of the day's data, and help make the automation workflows smarter) by more than an hour on average - Set the direction of the team by initiating, designing, planning, and managing large scale and large impact projects - Was intimately involved in reviewing the designs, and guiding and supervising the work of other software development personnel across the team
- Started as an IC, and then led the team to automate financial workflows between healthcare providers and insurance organizations - Designed and developed a system for automating adjudication of healthcare insurance claims - Created algorithms used to detect wasteful charging of services in healthcare claims, and optimize them, which are used by both billing systems and insurance payment systems. Led the team to get this productionized - Created a framework to codify standards and automate error checking of healthcare interface messages - Worked with tech leads and stakeholders at healthcare organizations and third parties to analyze architecture and other requirements, to set and validate functionality and other specifications pertaining to healthcare financial backend systems, and to come up with appropriate areas for future development - Participated in ANSI conferences (ASC X12) to contribute towards standards used by healthcare organizations to exchange data
- In charge of the regional newsletter for Mensa of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan - Completely revamped the design and tone of the newsletter, which was positively received - Regularly wrote an editor's column in the newsletter - Appointed and worked with editorial staff members
- Conducted the business of Mensa of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan - Decided the direction of the group and discussed financial and administrative matters of the group
- Representative of Madison in Wisconsin regional Mensa meetings - Ensured that the Madison group stayed active and interesting
