ROLE: • Leading the BD team for bids in private and public sector in India and Internationally • Liaising with Consulting firms in North America, Europe, APac for project specific Joint Ventures arrangements. • Managing the project life cycle from bidding through inception, design and delivery in coordination with all stakeholders, partners, sub-consultants and the client • Managing the PR team for effective marketing/branding of the firm and its projects at important platforms, events, press, publication (online and print) and social media • Managing overall organisation building, hiring for key positions, compensation plan, budgeting etc. • Speaking appearances at major conferences across India and universities for showcasing thought leadership and knowledge sharing ACHIEVEMENTS: • Led and won the bids for Airport at Itanagar, Shirdi and Diu; land port at Petrapole • Managed the strategy and GTM for the firm's diversification into the Project Management space. Won the bid for design and PMC of Agartala Airport in an international consortium • Ideated and setup an independent corporate entity for comprehensive consultancy in the Aviation sector including Feasibility, Traffic Forecasts, Revenue Forecasting, Financial Modelling, Pre & Post bid assistance for PPP/DBFOT and Design & Build projects, Air space design, Air field/pavement design, CNS/ATM etc. • Established connect with top tier contractors for Design & Build projects. Successfully garnered engagements for development of Railway Stations, Airports and convention centres • Built relationships with key Developers in PPP space. Won multiple projects with GMR for DIAL and others for pre-bid advisory services • Steered and won the international design competition for 4 new Railway stations in Naya Raipur as the sole Indian firm. • Steered multiple project wins for mega townships, Shopping malls, schools, Dairy Plants, office complexes, commercial complexes, memorials, ports, campus master plans, schools etc.
ROLE: - Setup from scratch the BD and PR team in the firm by defining an organisation structure, reporting, roles and handpicking candidates for the team - Positioned the firm as one of India's niche consultants providing integrated, single-window services from project concept and feasibility to detail design and execution supervision - Mapped the entire industry eco-system and established the CG brand with all key stakeholders including contractors, key clients, Project Management firms, Engineering firms, Real Estate firms etc. - Undertook a comprehensive PR campaign including speaker placements for the firm's leadership in all major events, a quarterly email newsletter on industry/firm news sent to entire CRM database, firm presence in major online platforms, awards submissions, complete online strategy (website, SEO/SMO, blogs, Social Media) etc - Expanded reach of the firm in the private sector. Capitalised on iconic projects in each geography to penetrate into projects across different sectors including Real Estate, Healthcare, Commercial, Retail, Metro, Railways, etc. with consistent and time bound success - Established process for continuos tracking of opportunities, shortlisting of tenders, formulation of project based Consortia, gathering competitive intelligence, preparation submission and tracking of technical responsive and financially competitive bids ACHIEVEMENTS: - Established international alliances with firms specialising in Healthcare, Transportation, Sports & Recreation, Landscape, City Planning, Project Management - Led the "by invitation" bid for TATA for Master Plan of the city of Jamshedpur spread over 64 sqkm. Managed a consortium comprising of 4 international and 2 Indian firms to develop the concept Master Plan including Commercial & Residential development, Transportation, Utilities & Infrastructure, Energy, Water & Waste - Led and won the bid for "Feasibility and Concept Design of Intermodal Hubs in Ahmedabad Gandhinagar Metro Rail"
ROLE • Strategise bidding for high value MEGA Infrastructure projects • Lead JV/Consortium formulation with international Architecture and Engineering firms • Lead the bid formulation strategy including Roles & Responsibilities, Scope and fee split • Manage the entire life-cycle of bid preparation by coordinating among various members, key-persons and stake holders to fulfill and synchronize the technical and financial aspects of the bid ACHIEVEMENTS • Identified Aviation as a key growth sector in India. Strategised to gain first mover advantage for upcoming projects across the country • Formulated a strategically positioned strong 3 member consortium, including one of world's largest Architecture firms, for upcoming wave of Airports in India • Led the formulation of an international consortium that won the prestigious design competition bid for Master Planing/Detail Design of Kamraj International Airport, Chennai, India. A MEGA project of USD 300 million covering 2 million sqft, the project includes a domestic & international terminal, a Metro station, a multi-level car park, sub station building and passenger connectivity across 4 modes of transportation paving the way for the first ever inter-modal hub in the country. • Identified, managed and won the bid for design of Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur, India • Identified, managed and won the bid for design of Goa Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur, India • Identified, managed and won the bid for design of Vadodara Airport, Gujarat, India • Formulated an international multidisciplinary team across five firms for a first-in-India triple Net-Zero Green Field campus for the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) spread over 800 acres in Jodhpur. 1. Conceived the JV of a renowned Architecture firm with a construction firm to setup a real estate development firm 2. Led the overall strategy formulation, execution and monitoring of the company through the executive team with the CEO reporting directly to the ED 3. The project comprised of 136 apartments developed around open courtyards revitalizing Indian community living in an energy efficient and environmentally conscious design. - Navigated the company through a real estate downturn leading to break-even of the first project (while keeping the balance sheet debt free) through personalised marketing, brand building and project differentiation through value-added features and services in an originally unfamiliar region. - Delivered multiple projects across New Delhi including an office complex, a 16 unit multi-family housing and a premium farm house in a short span of 3 years.
