Built out a nation-wide digital media literacy initiative in the form of National Assessment Program standardised assessments for Year 6 & 10 students. • Implemented 8 learning modules of approximately 12 units each, implementing self-contained feature-complete applications in a variety of problem domains: spreadsheets, mapping, mobile device configuration, SEO & website authoring, visual programming, photo editing and restaurant management software. Designed and implemented interaction tracking and scoring architecture without incurring additional technical complexity. • Upskilled myself & the team in modern React/Redux software architecture, improved testing suites & CI pipeline, lead agile team coordination efforts & planning responsibilities, improved dev/UX team cross-coordination & collaboration processes. Created a modernised web interface for the national Preschool Outcomes Measure on top of legacy institutional assessment systems. Progressive enhancement and improvement of PHP-based scoring and assessment delivery backends to support the new featureset.
Launched the https://hrea.io toolkit, then widely regarded as Holochain’s most ambitious project. Lead design & development of modular decentralised infrastructure for addressing inter-regional & global resource coordination problems. • Designed tech-agnostic architecture to iterate prototypes over 3 major upstream rewrites of the software stack. Created suitable generic storage abstractions for graph-like data backed by a novel eventually-consistent database. • Validated provisions & managed expectations for highly runtime-modular features and complexly overlapping permissioned network spaces during upstream development. Undertook strategy, governance, consultancy, mentoring & harm reduction activities: • Consulted, ideated and prototyped applications with organisations building supply chain transparency & next-economy systems (e.g. BeefLedger, Just Circular King Co, Shiro, SeedShare, Lightwave, MycoGreens, FibreShed). • Managed development, standardisation & adoption of a GraphQL specification for the Valueflows protocol across a broad array of stakeholders, projects and implementations including hREA, Bonfire, Reflow and FabCity OS. • Founded Economikit and participated in organisational development & strategy, relationship building, community management, event planning, technical writing & comms. Collaborated with a culturally, ethnically, generationally and ideologically diverse group of sociologists, psychologists, cultural anthropologists & technologists on the creation of an ethics charter. Lead harm reduction initiatives, accountability processes, transformative justice work & the responsible disclosure of far-right hate funding & propaganda groups within the Holochain ecosystem. • Trained others in REA Accounting and presented sessions at conferences & online workshops (e.g. Yale Open Climate Collabathon, hREA hackalongs).
Collaborated with Sacred Capital's founder and a diverse multidisciplinary team to gestate Neighbourhoods. Contributed to culture building, values alignment, governance & partnership strategy.
