I currently work as a freelance Canva-based graphic designer, barista/cashier at Bun Bun Cafe & Poke (formerly Song Tea & Poke), and sales associate at Old Navy. My previous experience includes being a Suburban Reporter/Producer at Houston Chronicle for the Pearland and Brazoria County area from Aug 2022-March 2024 and an Adjunct Professor at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi from January 2023-May 2024. I graduated from the Strategic Communication, M.A. program at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi in May 2022, where I also received my B.A. in Media Arts with an emphasis in Media Studies in May 2020. I have worked for Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s official student newspaper, Island Waves, as its Interim Editor-in-Chief & Social Media Editor on the Editorial Board during my time in grad school. While in these positions, I earned 1st & 2nd Place in two of Texas Intercollegiate Press Association's (TIPA) Live Contests in 2021 and our newsroom won the 2nd Best Newspaper in Division 3 at the TIPA Previously Published Contest 2021 & 2022.
