Engineering Director at Tiendanube/Nuvemshop, LATAM's largest ecommerce platform with 150,000+ active stores across Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia; one of Argentina's most recent unicorns. Led ~25 software engineers across five teams: Ecosystem, PoS (offline), Wallet, Social, and Marketing Automation; spanning platform partner integrations, in-store point-of-sale, payments, social commerce, and growth tooling. Partnered with Product and cross-functional leadership to align engineering execution with strategic priorities during a period of rapid cross-border expansion.
Built Tiendanube's People Analytics function from scratch, applying a product and data-platform mindset: designed the initial data infrastructure, defined core hiring, performance, and engagement metrics, and delivered dashboards and reporting used by HR and senior leadership. The engagement became a bridge from the devartis acquisition into the Engineering Director role the following year.
Co-founded a software consulting firm as one of four partners and scaled it over 12+ years into a team of ~45 engineers delivering commerce platforms, SaaS products, and data systems for clients across the Americas and Europe. Balanced strategic leadership with hands-on technical involvement, from architectural decisions to code when needed. Built and scaled engineering and product teams, established hiring and onboarding practices, and grew a culture grounded in pragmatism, quality, and ownership. Acquired by Tiendanube/Nuvemshop, effective January 2022.
