Singapore
Studying Chemical Engineering at NUS is not something my 12-year-old self would have expected, but here I am in Singapore! This has always been my style of living, giving my best in everything I do to achieve my goals and staying resilient during challenging times. I enjoy challenges and stepping out of my comfort zone, as it pushes me to grow and discover my limits. My experience as a tuition teacher has taught me how to adapt quickly to unexpected situations, while working as a part-time event crew and promoter at multiple events has strengthened my communication skills and ability to handle on-site challenges smoothly. My active participation in CCAs has allowed me to explore diverse interests, from music to community outreach. I have organized events for international students, taking responsibility for planning, coordination and on-site execution to create engaging and inclusive experiences. One of my highlight achievements was developing a rainwater hydroelectric system together with my teammates. This project aligns with my vision of creating a more sustainable environment and has strengthened my determination to pursue a career in the energy industry, contributing towards the goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. I am currently seeking internship opportunities where I can apply my chemical engineering skills, gain industry exposure and am eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
