-Provide consultation for individuals and families regarding issues including mental health, poverty, unemployment, substance use, community re-entry, intimate partner relationship, childcare, and medical care. -Serve as liaison and advocate for between students, homes, schools, family services, courts, protective services, doctors, and other contacts to help individuals who face problems such as disabilities, abuse, or poverty. -Conduct psychosocial assessments and treatment plans. -Provide and connect support services and preventive programs for clients, such as childcare, homemaker services, prenatal care, job training, counseling, and parenting classes. -Assist single parents on improving parental abilities and family function. -Provide financial support and debt management related services. -Provide basic financial consulting and financial education. -Provide legal aid services, such as custody, visitation rights, and accrued alimony. Assist with hearings; and provide testimony to inform custody arrangements. -Design, implement, and work as a project manager for women’s empowerment and gender education programs. Produce project reports. -Design and implement single-parent family entertainment, health, and wellness program, and community activities.
-Conduct annual assessments under supervision and produce annual assessment reports. -Conduct individual CBT sessions and produce case notes under supervision. -Facilitate mindfulness activities in the DBT skills group, and document DBT skills group notes. -Accompany case managers during: o CBT and DBT skills groups (educational), o ITCD groups: anger management, women’s group, and o DBT consultation meetings.
-Shadowed counselors in individual sessions and psychoeducation groups on topics such as substance use disorder treatment, grief, and domestic violence.
