I am a Computer Engineer and Tech Lead with over 15 years of experience in developing custom software and SaaS solutions in both B2C and B2B environments. Over the past 8 years, I have led development teams, driving projects from conception to implementation, always with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and value creation. My approach is data-driven, leveraging insights to develop smart, optimized solutions that address complex problems and improve decision-making. Most recently, I served as Tech Lead at a startup focused on optimizing the freight transport business, where I led a team to integrate more than 5 freight brokers, including the largest in the U.S. (DAT). I also developed a new version of the load search system, achieving a 70% increase in response speed. My passion for solving complex problems has enabled me to implement innovative solutions that streamline processes and enhance user experience. Throughout my career, I have contributed to high-impact projects, including mobile applications, IoT platforms, ERP systems, and telemedicine solutions. I take pride in having developed a globally award-winning app with over a million downloads, as well as building high-performing development teams. I am a pragmatic professional, stack agnostic, focused on optimizing resources and avoiding unnecessary reinvention, always eager to teach and share knowledge. I am committed to helping my clients and teams transform ideas into tangible, effective technical solutions, always backed by data and facts.
* Developed and launched a new branded version of the mobile application, significantly enhancing user experience and brand consistency. * Built a customized mobile app for Platform Science devices, integrating SDKs and APIs to enable truck engine connectivity and Single Sign-On (SSO), providing secure and seamless authentication and driving increased platform adoption. * Designed and implemented a Stripe-based credit card pre-authorization workflow, reducing vendor risk and ensuring secure upfront payment commitments. * Developed a usage-based billing system using Stripe for the company, enabling accurate, scalable, and automated billing aligned with customer consumption. * Integrated QuickBooks to allow customers to generate invoices and synchronize their accounting data seamlessly with their QuickBooks accounts.
* Improved the system's search engine, reducing response time by 70% and enabling the handling of over 1,000 loads per search on average. * Integrated one of the largest load boards in the USA (DAT) as part of the freight provider network. * Led the team in integrating more than 5 freight providers into the platform. * Improved fleet visibility for clients by integrating truck tracking systems and industry-specific mapping services.
My role is to coordinate, plan and manage projects in different technologies, with a team of remote developers. I am also responsible for selecting the team and guiding them on a technical level. I handle approximately 5-6 simultaneous projects. I have learned how complex it can be to manage teams remotely and reduce the risk that may be involved in the execution of projects. I have learned new technologies and their practical application.
My main role was to lead the team of 3 Managers, who led an average of 4-5 developers each. I had to coordinate and evaluate the performance of the projects that each of them had and give them support in everything they needed. We implemented Scrum as a development methodology and I had to be the one who adapted it to our dynamics. We implement methodologies to reward the commitment and productivity of the developers without harming the quality of the products. I learned a lot more about the management of expectations, risks, economic impact of the projects, implementation of strategies, team management.
I started managing developer teams more biggers, I worked with groups of 5-6 developers and 6 projects at the same time. I had to estimate the duration of the projects, plan their execution based on dates, availability of developers, etc. and technical support to the team. I was responsible for carrying out projects in many areas, web development, mobile, augmented reality, second screen applications, among others. I learned a lot about managing customer expectations and how to estimate, plan and develop projects with different levels of team knowledge.
In addition to continuing to develop mobile applications and web applications. The Company gave me the opportunity to be a leader of a team of developers, helping new less experienced developers and being part of the technical level decisions in the developments. I learned to lead teams and make technical decisions that directly affect the product and its development.
I was Co-Founder at Deseandolo.com (formerly known as Teluciste.com) Teluciste.com started as a website to give giftcards for special occasions, when it was not very clear what to give. These could be from different establishments and allowed collaboration between friends. After testing the market, we realized that the concept of Giftcard was not widely accepted by the public and decided to pivot to Deseandolo.com, which was a marketplace to discover, share and buy the products you always wanted. It was accelerated by Wayra Venezuela (Acceleradora de Telefonica) in 2012-2013 I learned a bit of entrepreneurship and all the edges involved in launching a digital product to the market. Finally we could not continue because of the little traction that the product had
