I work on UK and international advocacy for the Global Magnitsky Justice Campaign, which addresses issues of human rights abuses, money laundering, and government corruption worldwide. My primary focus is on advocating for the release of arbitrarily detained British nationals abroad, particularly Ryan Cornelius in the UAE, and promoting accountability for perpetrators through sanctions, media advocacy, and political engagement. I also contribute to our advocacy on Russia and Ukraine, supporting efforts to strengthen accountability for war crimes and corruption, and advancing the case for the seizure and repurposing of the frozen $300 billion in Russian central bank reserves to support Ukraine’s defence and reconstruction. I work closely with parliamentarians, government officials, lawyers, NGOs, and media partners to drive impactful advocacy initiatives and public campaigns. This includes coordinating cross-border efforts, developing campaign strategies, and managing engagement with key political and civil society stakeholders in the UK, the EU, the US, Canada, and Ireland. Alongside human rights advocacy, I contribute to efforts to trace and expose illicit financial flows connected to the $230 million fraud uncovered by Sergei Magnitsky, supporting anti-money laundering (AML) initiatives and engagement with law enforcement across multiple jurisdictions. This work aims to advance accountability for corruption and strengthen global financial transparency. I have played a central role in organising high-profile advocacy efforts to support political prisoners and strengthen human rights sanctions frameworks internationally.

Glimpse from the Globe is an online student-run publication dedicated to providing timely and timeless analysis of international affairs. Established in 2013, founding Glimpse leadership identified the need to more prominently feature sophisticated and culturally engaging foreign affairs content produced by students at the University of Southern California. We strive to publish content that reflects the diversity of our publication’s contributing authors, while highlighting the pressing global challenges of our time. Beyond our news stories, all the work featured on Glimpse from the Globe provides an added level of analytical depth that challenges us to think critically.
